JIVE

Jive European Social Fund Oxford and Cherwell College Equal Oxford Womens Training

The JIVE (Joining Policy – Joining Practice) Project aims to address occupational segregation in the Science, Engineering, Construction and Technology (SECT) sectors. The under-representation of women in these sectors is a gender equality imperative and a national economic concern that is contributing to the continued skills gap. JIVE works to improve the participation and position of all women in SECT. JIVE has established a national coalition for cultural change by bringing together a range of key stakeholders from education, academia, industry, public service and women themselves. JIVE utilises the influence of the UK Resource Centre for Women in SET, its high level Implementation Group and the EQUAL Thematic Networking Group to engage with the UK Government policy makers to ensure that gender mainstreaming is at the heart of their strategies for combating skills shortages within the targeted sectors.

JIVE South East is located at Oxford Women’s Training, a part of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College. Visit our website at www.jivepartners.org.uk or call us at 01865 550824 for more information.
