J.P. Morgan
From the start, our goal has been to become the world’s most profitable, respected and influential investment bank. Two hundred years on, this hasn’t changed. We are still an industry innovator, forcing the pace of change in global finance, executing “first-class business, in a first-class way”. J.P. Morgan is the investment banking business of JPMorgan Chase, a leading global financial services firm with assets of more than $1.6 trillion and operations in more than 50 countries. We serve the interests of clients who have complex financial needs, whether they are major corporations, governments, private firms, financial institutions, non-profit organisations or even private individuals. The diverse opportunities within J.P. Morgan stems directly from the breadth of our activities – from investment banking and private equity, to asset management and custody and transaction services.
The wow factor
Investment banking is a fast-moving world where talented people can achieve great things. If you want responsibility and the chance to make an impact at an early stage in your career, you’ll find it at J.P. Morgan. New technologies, fresh ideas, changing markets and a pipeline of high-quality work all unite to make J.P. Morgan an exhilarating place to work. Obviously you will change, develop and evolve as your career unfolds, but so will we. There has never been a better time to launch a career with us.
Why J.P. Morgan?
We regularly ask our people why they joined us and why they stay. From junior analysts to senior managers, they agree on six major reasons. We call them the ‘Hot Six’: the scale, scope and prestige of the bank; our reputation as a business innovator; the chance to make a personal impact at an early stage; high-quality training and development; exceptional quality of work and deal flow; and a spirit of co-operation and team work. But don’t just take our word for it, meet us on campus or get involved with one of our initiatives to find out for yourself.
Get to know us better
As the majority of our graduates are hired from our internship class, it’s couldn’t be more important to start you research early and begin developing networks. Applying to one of our many initiatives is one way to get inside the real J.P. Morgan. It doesn’t matter what stage of your education you’re at, we’ve got something that will suit you. From first-year programmes such as Spring Week and Industry Impressions, Winning Women events on campus or at our offices, and Good Venture, the J.P. Morgan philanthropy case study competition, there has never been so many opportunities to get to know us better.
Preparing leaders
The fact is we are very good at helping high-potential individuals turn into high-performers. Our training programmes combine on-the-job learning with classroom instruction that is on a par with the world’s finest business schools. You’ll gain exposure to different parts of the business, giving you a multi-dimensional perspective of the company. As a result, you’ll emerge not only with a thorough grounding in your own business area, but a broad experience of the wider commercial picture and a range of transferable business skills, from project management to team leadership.
Can you do this?
We are looking for team-players and future leaders with exceptional drive, creativity and interpersonal skills. Impeccable academic credentials are important, but so are your achievements outside the classroom. You’ll need to express a preference for one business area when you apply. We have graduate opportunities and internships across all areas: Investment Banking, Sales, Trading & Research, Asset Management, Risk, Operations, Finance, Business Services and Technology.

Accent on Women
The Accent on Women's network was born out of the belief that attracting, retaining and promoting women is a critical success factor for our company. We have established strong relationships with universities, as well as student and professional women's organisations, to increase the number of women we hire.
To further increase the retention and advancement of women, we run programmes such as:
International Women’s Day
We celebrated International Women's Day in March 2009, we expanded this event and invited more women and men to discuss our aspiration of having 50/50 representation in the boardroom by 2020. Our key sites around the United Kingdom also celebrated International Women’s Day by hosting local events.
Charity work
Accenture has partnered with Dress for Success London to offer pro-bono strategy and marketing services. The charity promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
