for women in Scotland. The organisation campaigns to ensure that women
and their concerns have greater visibility and equal representation at

| Equal Opportunities Commission |
The Equal Opportunities Commission is the UK’s leading
agency working to eliminate sex discrimination in 21st Century Britain.
It produces reports and briefings, and collects statistics on a wide range
of gender issues. |

The Fawcett Society is one of the UK’s leading organisations
campaigning for gender equality. |
| UK Labour Party |
Website of the Labour Women’s Network. |
| National Women’s Council of Ireland |
The national representative organisation for women and
women’s groups in Ireland; currently affiliated with 160 organisations
and groups from all parts of Ireland. |

| The Women’s National Commission |
The Women’s National Commission is the official, independent,
advisory body giving the views of women to the Government. It is the
only organisation of its kind in the UK, ensuring that the Government

| Centre for Asia-Pacific Women in Politics |
The Centre for Asia-Pacific Women in Politics (CAPWIP)
is an organization dedicated to promoting equal participation of women
in politics, which operates through 5 sub-regional groupings: Central
Asia, East Asia, Pacific, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. |

Leadership, Rutgers |
Founded in 1989, The Centre for Women’s Global Leadership
(Global Centre) develops and facilitates women’s leadership for
women’s
human rights and social justice worldwide. |
| ECPR Standing Group on Women in Politics |
Run through the European Consortium for Political Research,
this Group has been active in encouraging workshops and research groups
with an emphasis on gender issues, establishing a research register of
women in political science and in increasing the profile of women in
the main fields of political science. |

Women’s Lobby |
The European Women’s Lobby was set up to ensure women
are represented at the highest political levels within Europe. As the
European Union’s sphere of competence continues to grow, the EWL
is seeking to ensure equality between women and men as a mandatory criterion
for European construction. |
| Korean Institute for Women & Politics |
The Korean Institute for Women & Politics (KIWP) aims
to foster the inclusion of women in politics through the organization
of leadership training workshops and by conducting research and holding
seminars on the topic of women and politics. |

help women and men work together in equal partnership, Shevolution conducts

UNIFEM is the women’s fund at the United Nations, providing
financial and technical assistance to innovative programmes and strategies
that promote women’s human rights, political participation and

| United Nations Inter-Agency Network

WomenWatch is a central gateway to information and resources
on gender equality within the United Nations system, including the United
Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, specialized agencies and academic

Vital Voices is a global partnership that trains women
leaders in emerging nations to build democracies, strong economies and
peace. |
| Win With Women |
The Win with Women Initiative is a movement to promote
women’s political participation worldwide. The anchor of the initiative
is the Global Action Plan, which outlines practical recommendations that
will help political parties broaden their appeal by becoming more inclusive
and representative. |

WIIS is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization
dedicated to increasing the influence of women in foreign and defence
affairs, through a set of programs designed to foster and promote women

WEDO is an international advocacy network that seeks to
increase the power of women worldwide as policymakers. Program areas

Institute, American University |
Located within the School of Public Affairs at American
University, the Women & Politics Institute is dedicated to advancing
the study and discussion of women and politics, promoting opportunities
for women in politics, and training young women to become political leaders. |
